Peace Pilgrim (1908-1981) was an American spiritual teacher, mystic, and peace activist who dedicated her life to promoting peace and spreading messages of love and understanding. Born Mildred Lisette Norman, she changed her name to Peace Pilgrim in 1952 after embarking on a pilgrimage for peace, vowing to walk until she was given food, shelter, and clothing by those she met along the way.
Peace Pilgrim walked over 25,000 miles on her pilgrimage, speaking to anyone who would listen about the importance of inner peace and the power of love to bring about global peace.
