We partner with people who want to maintain their own website but don’t have the experience with all the setup and code that customization requires. You handle the content; you reach out anytime you have a question. This plan is for anyone comfortable logging in and working with content who maybe doesn’t know how to add a menu item or change a theme. We’ll either teach you how, or just take care of it — whichever you prefer.

Every website is vulnerable to malware. A “bot” goes looking for a specific weakness — an out-of-date plugin, a theme that needs updating, some other way in. Sometimes it can even turn your site into a tool for attacking your visitors or other websites. With every plan we keep you safe from those attacks by keeping everything protected, then backed up daily just in case.

What’s included

• Support. Reach us anytime by email, phone, or Skype. We start with a call to discuss your site, then you contact us however suits you. If we don’t know an answer, we’ll do the research or contact theme/plugin support for you — one place to go for every website question.
• Realtime monitoring. We watch for outages in real time. If it’s something we can fix, we fix it. If it’s your host, we let you know — or, if you’re on our recommended host, we contact them for you.
• Security & malware protection. Real-time attack monitoring, prompt cleanup and restore if you’re ever hit, plus the right plugins and settings to harden your site.
• Daily backups. Daily backups of your site files and database, stored offsite with a third-party cloud service. Make a mistake we can’t back out? We restore the previous night’s backup.
• Site optimization. We pull a speed report and make behind-the-scenes adjustments so your site performs better for visitors and for SEO.
• Database maintenance. Monthly database performance checks and optimization for best speed.
• Licensing & paid plugins. We buy tools and plugins in bulk and include those costs in your plan, rather than billing each one.
• Updates. All core WordPress (or Joomla), plugin, and theme updates — plugins at least weekly, security updates immediately, with a backup taken before anything important.
• Install a new theme. When you want a new look, we help you find and install a new theme and migrate your content so it stays intact and looks great.
• Remove spam comments. We block and clear the spam so you’re left with only genuine comments to approve.
• Fix broken links. We monitor internal and external links and fix them, or check with you before changing them.
• Monthly reports. Optional monthly report covering backups, updates, security stats, and performance.
• Site restoration. Infected during your service? Restored within 24 hours. We keep daily backups for a month and a monthly backup for a year.
• Analytics & SEO. We install Google Analytics and Search Console, help you set up your accounts, and help you make sense of the data — then make recommendations to improve your search results over time.
• Manage email accounts. Need a better email system? We help you choose a provider and set up accounts, aliases, and groups (Google G-Suite certified).
• E-newsletters. We help you set one up — service recommendation, template design, content, list strategy, A/B testing, and signup forms.
• Training. Phone or Skype training (or in person, travel covered) for you or your staff, scheduled when it works for your team.
