Keep All Your Support Emails in One Place
A one-minute Gmail setup so every update about your project lands in its own tidy folder — never buried in your inbox again.
Every update from our support ticket system is sent from a single address: task@lowthiandesign.com (it appears as Lowthian Tasks). Because we use that address for nothing else, you can tell Gmail to automatically file every one of these emails into its own label. Here's how.
The Setup
-
Open Gmail's filter tool
Open Gmail in a web browser on a computer. In the search bar at the top, click the filter icon on the right side of the box — it looks like three small sliders. A short form drops down.
-
Tell Gmail which emails to catch
In the From field, type this address and leave everything else blank:
task@lowthiandesign.comThen click Create filter at the bottom of the drop-down.
-
Choose what happens to them
Gmail shows a list of actions. Tick these boxes:
- Apply the label → choose New label… → name it Lowthian Support → Create.
- Also apply filter to matching conversations — this sweeps up emails you've already received, not just future ones.
- (Optional) Skip the Inbox — only if you want these to go straight to the folder and bypass your main inbox.
Click Create filter. Done.
What You'll See
A new Lowthian Support label now appears in the left-hand menu of Gmail, holding every current and future email about your project. On the Gmail phone app, tap the menu (☰) and scroll down — the same label is there too.
Make It Easy to Spot
On a computer, hover over the Lowthian Support label in the left menu, click the three dots that appear, and choose Label color. Pick a color so these emails stand out at a glance.
If the emails ever stop arriving: check your Spam folder and mark anything from task@lowthiandesign.com as Not spam. That teaches Gmail to always deliver them.
